Your donation and a portion of each show’s proceeds benefit PRJ Outreach programs. Currently Patti Rutland Jazz provides free dance instruction to more than 3,000 children in the Wiregrass Area. Our partnership with the Dothan City School System allows elementary school students to participate in weekly dance classes, held on site at 11 local schools. We hope to continue and even expand this program to reach more students and offer classes in other counties. We also offer free weekly dance classes to the more than 300 under-served students participating in after-school programs at the Cultural Arts Center in Dothan. Our classes help inspire and motivate young minds to bigger and better things. Early childhood dance training also helps develop gross motor skills that improve coordination and focus in class. Children learn beneficial social skills as they learn and participate as part of a team.
