Christina Hicks

Christina started her career with PRJ as a principal dancer in 2007 and performed for three seasons, which included a sold out performance at The Ailey Citigroup Theatre in New York City in 2008.  She then went on to pursue her professional training from Troy University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studiesand a Dance Minor. During college, she was a member of the Troy Dance Repertory Ensemble (TDRE) where she took on the roles as a dancer, choreographer and dance captain. While with TDRE, she traveled to China on a dance concert tour in 2010.  In 2011 she had the opportunity to work with Hubbard Street Dance Chicago as their Development intern and was also awarded a Chicago Arts Fellowship.  Upon graduating, she moved to Manteo, NC to dance professionally with The Lost Colony, a historical symphonic drama.  In an addition to Patti Rutland Jazz, she is also a Guest Artist with DraMAStic Dance Works in Onancock, VA. With them, she originated the role of Giselle in Giselle: A Twisted Tale. Christin was the Associate Artistic Director and Operations Manager with PRJ for three years and in 2018 she took over the roles of  Artistic and Executive Director of Patti Rutland Jazz. She is the mother to a beautiful daughter, Sylvie,  and her two puppy brothers.
