Kat is from Dothan, AL and has extensive professional training and performance experience. She began her training at age 3 at Onstage School of Dance. As a young teen, she trained at The Dothan School of Dance and was a member of Southeast Alabama Dance Company.  While with SEADAC, Kat performed the leading roles of Clara in The Nutcracker, Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz and extended her training and performance experience with The Southeastern Regional Ballet Association's Ballet Festival.  Kat also developed a love for musical theatre as a young performer and earned the roll of Molly in DHS's production of Annie.

Kat danced professionally with Patti Rutland Jazz for eight seasons.  A talented choreographer, Kat's piece Cell Block Tango was a huge inspiration for Chicago to be brought to the MainStage by Southeast Alabama Community Theater. Be The Light, a concert dedicated to "illuminate the darkness surrounding domestic violence" was Kat's passionate project that Patti Rutland Jazz performed in 2019.  Be The Light received rave reviews from the community and Kat was recognized as an innovator with a strong voice for her work on the project.

Kat's impeccable technique and charisma makes her a very high in demand teacher for students of all ages. Kat has created a ballet, tap, jazz and modern graded system so PRJ students have an understanding of how to advance in their training so to move on to the next level.  Kat has always made it a priority to produce very confident and accomplished dancers.

Kat resides in Troy now with her beautiful daughter Freya Rose.
