You're invited to the PRJ Summer Dance Intensive Experience. During this week each dancers will study all dance genres; from ballet and contemporary technique, to tap, jazz, hip hop and Acrobatic Arts in a creative, fun and structured learning environment. A culminating showcase will be held at the end of each camp week to highlight what your young artist has learned. Don't miss it, register today!
SUMMER DANCE INTENSIVE DETAILS:
• Multiple levels, beginning to professional, ages 7 to 18
• Advanced Track levels will get to dance 5-6 hours per day from 9:00-4:30 PM
Recreational Track levels will get to dance 3 hours per day from 9:00-12:30 PM
• Teaching is hands-on, with lots of personal correction in boutique classes of 20 dancers or less.
Week’s end Showcase Performance will be held at 12:00 that Friday
All female dancers must wear a solid color leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet or pointe shoes for ballet
Male dancers may wear tights or jazz pants, a t-shirt and black or white ballet shoes for ballet class.
Jazz pants or dance shorts and jazz shoes can be worn for a jazz class.
Tap shoes are needed for tap class and dancers should have bare feet for contemporary and modern class.
No baggy shorts or baggy shirts allowed.
REGISTRATION & WAITLIST
All students must register with us in advance. Camp Tuition is non-refundable. Tuition is due when you register for camp. If your preferred camp is full, you may request placement on the waitlist. Please contact us with any questions at firstname.lastname@example.org
SCHEDULE CHANGES, CANCELLATIONS & STUDENT ABSENCES
Our Intensive schedule subject to change. We reserve the right to cancel camp if the minimum enrollment is not met. As a courtesy to the teacher, we ask that parents report absences via email to the studio director. There are no make-up classes and students may not attend alternate classes. Students are NOT allowed into class late unexcused. Students must be picked up promptly after class is dismissed. A $10.00 fee will be charged if parents are more than 15 minutes late. Individual classes may be taken for $30.
All students should bring a snack for their daily snack time or they may purchase one from the snack cart. A Lunch is required for the dancers staying until 4:30. Please bring a personal Water bottle that can be refilled by the fountain in the lobby.

• Enjoy adventure in learning, growing, and sharing childlike wonder through dance, theater and crafts
• Delight family and friends in our showcase performance at 12:00 pm on Friday

ENROLLMENT IS LIMITED
Camp size is limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. We recommend registering as early as possible, as classes do fill up. Capacity is 10-15 students for ages 3-6. Dancers should wear a leotard and transition tights. Ballet and tap shoes are needed along with tennis shoes for hip hop class.
Jameka is a first year company member from Abbeville, AL. She apprenticed with PRJ in 2014 and performed in SOAR. With hard work and training, she was awarded the spot of Company Member for this season. She works for the Southeast Alabama Medical Center’s Child Development Center along with being a full time student at Wallace Community College. She is the Artistic Ministry Director for NCC interpretations Dance Ministry. She is also the choreographer for the Be U: Beautifully Unique non-profit. Jameka teaches PRJ Outreach classes at Selma Street Elementary School as well as the Vaughn Blumber Center. She is also a teaching assistant at the Patti Rutland Jazz Dance Center. Jameka is thrilled to offer this opportunity to the children!
Jessica Leonard is a fifth year company member originally from the Tampa Bay Area. She is classically trained in ballet. For thirteen years, she trained at the West Florida Ballet, the Florida West Ballet, and the Suarez-Moreno Academy of Dance. Jessica moved to Dothan in 2006 and quickly discovered PRJ. She has since broadened her repertoire considerably, thanks to the inspiration and dedication of fellow company members. Jessica currently teaches Ballet, Technique, and Pointe at Steps Dance Studio in Headland. Through the PRJ Outreach Program, Jessica teaches classes at Morris Slingluff and Cloverdale elementary schools. Jessica auditioned for the hit television serious, “So You Think You Can Dance” where she beat out hundreds of other dancer in the city of Memphis. We are very thrilled to have Jessica’s impeccable dance ability grace our stage once again.
Alexandra is a first year company member from Samson, AL. She received her dance training at Encore! Fine Arts Studio in Geneva, AL. Alex is currently on staff at Encore as a teacher and choreographer. In 2013 she was in the top twenty of Wiregrass Talent Quest. She has also taught many Acro workshops in the surrounding area and in Florida. We are so happy to have Alex and her twin sister Elizabeth in the company this year!
